As an AI/ML scientist, you will bring our AI research and innovation to the next level. You'll be a crucial part of a world-class global team, applying the latest advances in Machine Learning to create 6G as an AI-native technology. You solve real-world challenges, create innovations, and provide guidance and inspiration on the application and research direction of applied AI/ML in wireless and systems of the mobile network, aligned with Nokia's mission to connect the world.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- Shape the future of the 6G networks by creating research roadmaps for applying AI/ML to the 6G AI-native system.
- Identify novel AI trends and opportunities and adopt and apply the latest AI technology to the domain of wireless and mobile networks.
- Open new solution spaces for AI/ML innovations and inventions in next generation mobile networks.
- Design and create new AI/ML solutions and architectures and collaborate with world-class engineering teams to solve domain-specific challenges.
- Support the planning and coordination of AI/ML-related work streams with a diverse and highly motivated team of experts.
- Mentor and provide guidance to AI/ML practitioners for creating best-in-class wireless and system AI/ML solutions.
- Learn from the best in the industry about cutting-edge wireless and mobile network technologies.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- A PhD in computer science, artificial intelligence and machine learning, or a related field.
- Expert knowledge of the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and machine learning and hands-on experience in advanced deep learning methods and architectures.
- Excellent understanding and experience in one or more areas of reinforcement learning, variational autoencoders, GANs, transfer and federated learning, machine reasoning, AI explainability.
- Preferably, practical experience with applied machine learning in industry-relevant use cases.
- A good understanding of wireless technologies and mobile radio networks is a plus.
- Excellent team working abilities and drive to mentor and teach colleagues about the latest advances in ML.
- Curiosity and a strong research spirit to expand the boundaries of the currently known.
