Asset Manager, Wind and Solar

About the role

As Asset Manager you will join our Wind and Solar team and be managing a portfolio of Finnish and Swedish assets on behalf of Fortum and external investors. Your key task is to ensure that projects achieve optimal returns during their operation, whilst maintaining the highest standards in operational safety and efficiency. Collaboration with several Fortum support functions will be part of your daily work, such as performance analysis, procurement, development, construction, legal, insurance, electricity sales etc. You will also act as Managing Director for selected wind and solar park companies when so decided.

You will have the opportunity with your technical and commercial expertise to contribute in the developement and implementation of our growth strategy. You will be travelling to the Nordic countries as well as other countries according to our growing business.

The location would preferably be in Stockholm or Espoo.

What we are looking for

Your qualifications

  • You hold a Master in engineering, finance, legal or equivalent.
  • Preferably at least five years’ experience from asset management, project management, O&M or equivalent.
  • Experience of effective risk identification and risk management (including Health & Safety implications).
  • Experience of dealing with contracts along with proven ability to liaise with and manage/monitor contractors.
  • Proven skills in stakeholder management and ability to motivate and drive a team of counterparts.
  • Experience from P&L responsible and / or in optimizing the performance of operational assets and administration will be to your advantage.
  • Proven technical ability to diagnose issues and identify solutions / improvements
  • You have high mobility and willingness to travel to our sites and contractors internationally
  • Business fluency in Finnish, Swedish and English is required.
