Chief Technology Architect

We are now looking for an experienced Chief Technology Architect   

to join our Posti digital center of excellence. 

In this role you will be a key player in the digital transformation to build a modern technology architecture to support our strategy. You will have a unique opportunity to support building solutions that will change and affect the daily lives of millions of people in Finland and Baltics. As Chief Technology Architect you will plan functional and technical roadmaps together with business and other stakeholders, make fit-for-purpose architectural decisions and lead the development of our technology landscape according to our architecture and design principles. You will have hands-on role co-working with different development teams consisting of software developers, designers and vendors. Basically, that means that you are business oriented and very tech-savvy expert capable of keeping big picture in mind to steer group of subject matter experts and colleagues across different Posti Group development teams.

Your main responsibilities will include:  

• Plan technology vision and drive the defined target architecture especially in event-driven and data domains.  

• Lead the team of hands-on solution architects. 

• Design, architect and support new and existing product implementations / migrations from old platform to new architecture.  

• Steer and guide technical development teams. 

• Co-design solutions with internal stakeholders keeping the target architecture in mind.  

• Communicate strategies and technology roadmaps around the development and architecture to key stakeholders.  

As the ideal candidate for this position, you have:   

• +5 years of hands-on experience in software development (preferably in Python, Java, and React/TypeScript).  

• Experience in solution architecture design, enterprise architecture experience considered as an asset.   

• Experience in working with different event driven architecture patterns and modern data architectures (i.e. lakehouse).   

• Preferably a B.Sc./M.Sc. degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or other equivalent experience.  

• A strong understanding of AWS, Kafka, Databricks and related services.
