Forwarder

Are you interested in Logistics? Do you enjoy fast-phased working environment? 

We are now looking for a Forwarder for 12 months temporary employment. In this position you will work in a global environment as a member of our Forwarding & Customs Compliance team in Paper Business Line. Paper Business Line delivers complete board and paper production lines, machine rebuilds and single products. Your location will be Jyväskylä, Finland.

Your main responsibility will be export forwarding for rolls, warranty, document and tool deliveries and short shipments, including cross trade shipments. You will organize transportation by courier, air, ocean and road. You will investigate destination country customs and other special requirements and prepare required export documents. You are the contact person for projects and other units inside our company. Externally your main contacts are forwarding companies, customers, other Valmet units and authorities. In addition, your tasks will include Intrastat reporting, reviewing of freight invoices and archiving the delivery documents. Also import forwarding tasks may include in your position.

Who is the professional we are looking for?

You should have suitable education, for example B.Sc. in Business Administration or Logistics. We expect you to have some prior experience in the field of export business and international trade. Especially we value knowledge of Incoterms, customs procedures, commodity codes, and general and preferential rules of origin. You communicate fluently in English and Finnish. You're able to learn IT systems and tools quickly. Knowledge of Infor LN, M-Files, Sharepoint or Valmet Transport Gateway (VTG) is an advantage.
