Global Process Specialist, R2R

About the role

We are strenghtening our Record-to-Report development and looking for two persons to join in Fortum Financial and Operational Procurement Services (FPS) unit located in Espoo, Finland.

You will be part of the accounting development team and work close collaboration with local service delivery teams, Business Technology team, Corporate Accounting and business core stakeholders. Based on your interest and capabilities you can concentrate for general ledger or master data where accounting concept including reporting structures and analyses are in a key focus. 

Your key responsibilities:

• Improving, harmonizing and maintaining R2R processes and contributing to long term development in global level
• Enabling best practice solutions are used and necessary documentation are available
• Ensuring processes and tools are according global approach and automation opportunities are utilized
• Finding solutions for compliance and business needs
• Coordinating process and application changes including collaboration and testing
• Supporting, training and guiding for process and applications related topics

We promote a hybrid work model but we also value cooperation face-to-face and we expect weekly presence in our office as well. The position is based in Fortum Headquarters in Espoo, Finland and the role requires some travelling. Please note that we are not offering relocation support to move to Finland.

What we are looking for

• Equivalent degree in finance and minimum 3 years experience in the field of finance and reporting
• Strong accounting, process (ie. Lean or six sigma), analytical and technical skills
• Solid understanding of development methods and tools
• Collaboration skills towards different levels of stakeholders
• Development and change oriented mindset
• Experience from Oracle eBS, Blackline and Cognos BI tools as advantage
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
