We are looking for you,
Market Risk Analyst
to join our Market Risk & Middle office team in Espoo.
Currently based in Espoo, Geneva and Houston, our international team of experts works in the Market risk & Middle office team within Neste Corporate treasury and risk management function. We are responsible for designing and implementing market risk management framework, commodity risk monitoring and control and commodity derivatives post trade processes.
You will work closely with sales, hedging and risk experts and support the decision making by calculating risk metrics and modelling market risks. Your responsibilities include developing quantitative methods and practices and you play an important role in controlling the price indexes & hedging instruments.

Your role in our team
- Calculate risk metrics in the commodity market risk area
- Develop quantitative tools and practices
- Own the price index and instrument control process
- Model, analyse and present the results
Keys to success in this role
- Bachelor or Master's degree in relevant field
- Previous experience working with quantitative methods and risk metrics
- Previous experience (summer jobs included) working with market risks in the fields of commodity, energy or banking
- Good understanding of commodity and derivatives risk exposures
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in English, both written and verbal
- Analytical mindset and problem solving skills
- Excellent team working capabilities
- Responsible attitude with a safety-oriented mindset
Other strengths we value
- Previous experience working with PowerBI, Python and SQL
