Product Sales Manager

We are now looking for a Product Sales Manager to Valmet Board and Paper Mills Business Unit in Product Sales Team.

As a Product Sales Manager, you are responsible for developing, managing and leading nominated sales projects. You will master the end-to-end sales process, aiming to meet and exceed sales targets. You will be working closely with our customers with the help of Valmet's strong area organizations. By deep-diving in sales conversations you will identify customer needs and develop, together with the Sales team, the winning solutions by combining Valmet technologies and services.

You are the key in leading technical and commercial negotiations and ensuring customer satisfaction with viable contractual terms and conditions in a highly competitive business environment.

Your home location is either Järvenpää or Jyväskylä, other business line locations in Finland can be negotiated. However, many of the customer meetings are held at customer premises but also online-meetings are widely utilized. You will need to travel internationally and be prepared to work across time zones.

Who is the professional we are looking for?

You are a result and sales oriented, customer focused team player with a strong business mindset. You are an independent and solid professional in board and paper industry, preferably with a strong experience in sizing, coating and/or calendering technology. You will turn customers' needs into sales by responding quickly with the solutions to improve customers' processes and results. You know how to build and cherish long term customer relations and you are good at networking both internally and externally. You create positive energy around you, and you show trust in others and are excellent in communication. You know it is your sales team who wins.

You also have a self-managed working style with the ability to set priorities to yourself and ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

To succeed in this role, you will have

  • Strong technical background (Bachelor's / Master's) in in a relevant field of technology

  • Several years of experience in sizing / coating / calendering technology, engineering, sales, project or other related positions

  • Understanding of customers' needs and knowledge of the possibilities with Valmet offering

  • Strong in communication and influencing skills

  • Willingness to travel internationally

  • Fluent spoken and written Finnish and English, other languages are an asset
