We are currently looking for a Tax Technology Consultant - SAP to join our growing Advisory team.
As a Tax Technology Consultant - SAP, your job is to guide clients through S/4HANA implementation, emphasizing the importance and value of tax. You'll help clients develop their vision for tax in SAP, identify gaps, and design solutions. You'll work with cross-functional teams, including experienced tax transformation professionals and SAP consultants from our KPMG network.
As a consultant you will:
- Participating in S/4HANA implementation projects, particularly focusing on tax integration aspects such as master data, tax determination, and the automation of tax compliance and reporting.
- Advising clients on tax issues and process improvements by enhancing current SAP systems through quality assurance and configuration roles.
- Designing and implementing third-party tax solutions that seamlessly integrate with SAP to optimize tax-related processes, including e-invoicing, indirect tax determination engines, tax accounting/provisioning solutions, and tax compliance solutions.
- Collaborating closely with clients to understand their business requirements and customizing SAP and third-party solutions to improve their comprehensive tax processes.
- Providing expert advice on SAP configuration matters to ensure smooth integration with tax requirements and relevant modules, such as SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC), SAP Tax Compliance (TC), SAP Profitability and Performance Management (PaPM), and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
- Conducting workshops and training sessions for clients to demonstrate the functions of SAP tax modules and integrated third-party systems, ensuring ease of adoption and operational efficiency.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments and trends in SAP technologies and tax regulations to offer informed advice and services.
You're a strong candidate if you have
- Proven experience as an SAP consultant or in-house position (SD, MM, FICO modules);
- Relevant education background, such as Tax Technology, Tax Law, Tax Economics, Information Management, Data Management, Computer Science, or Econometrics;
- Completed your degree with a desire to grow your career in a corporate environment;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of working effectively in complex project settings;
- Desirable experience with S/4HANA implementations, including finance, tax, IT requirements gathering, and design documentation review;
- Knowledge of or experience with SAP tax modules (e.g., DRC, TC, PaPM, SAC) and tax functionalities (e.g., parallel ledger, accounts receivable/payable, record to report) is advantageous;
- Knowledge of other tax technology solutions outside SAP;
- Familiarity with tax compliance processes (e.g., Direct Tax, Transfer Pricing, Indirect Tax) is a plus;
- Strong English skills, both spoken and written;

This is a permanent full-time position, and the starting date is negotiable. The position is based in our office in Helsinki, Töölönlahdenkatu 3A.
