Senior Manager, Licensing

The team you'll be part of

In the Multimedia Licensing team your role will be to contibute to the development of the Consumer Electronic Licensing Program. You will have the opportunity to monetise Nokia's video compression and WiFi patent portfolios which are implemented in a broad array of products such as PC, TV, STB, Camera … In this role you will interact with technical experts, patent attorneys, economist, market intelligence experts, patent litigation attorneys.

What you will learn and contribute to

The Licensing Team is now looking for a Patent Licensing Senior Manager to join their team in Europe. The Patent Licensing Senior Manager is responsible for negotiating and closing licensing agreements. Patent Licensing Senior Manager also plays a key role in managing various licensing projects to ensure business continuity and processes that are central for the licensing business to achieve its business targets.

As part of our team, you will:

  • Identify new licensing opportunities and prepare licensing projects. 
  • Lead and close patent licensing deals while taking into account strategy and business goals of the company.
  • Develop strategies and sets goals for licensing projects and relating customer engagement plans to deliver recurring revenue. 
  • Be responsible for high quality of processes and standards in his/her own area. 
  • Support organization in achieving business goals and targets. Ensures that working environment encourages innovation.
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking and a broad business perspective in order to design and develop projects, processes and content relevant especially for our patent licensing business.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Your skills and experience

You have:

  • Significant relevant work experience. Experience in patent out-licensing is a must.
  • University degree: Master of Laws.
  • Good negotiation, influencing and presentation skills as well as a team player mindset.

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Project management skills, and determination to see things through to completion.
  • Thinks and acts creatively in order to develop and apply new innovative approaches to complex problems.
  • Analytical skills and understanding of financial analyses.
  • Willingness to travel and to work under pressure.
  • Communication skills, excellent command of written and spoken English.
