We are looking for you,
Senior Project Manager
to our Technology & Projects function, Delivery and Major and Projects organization.
You will focus on delivering major investment projects at Neste sites, primarily in Porvoo as the home base. Together with you and your expertise, we can make an impact today and keep our promises for tomorrow.
The job is located in Kilpilahti, Porvoo, which is about 30 minutes by car from the center of Helsinki. We organize free bus transportation to Kilpilahti for our employees from the capital region, Porvoo and the nearby areas.

Your role in our team
- Manage major investment projects according to Neste operating model roles and responsibilities, safely in compliance with agreed project scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
- Manage project's scope, schedule, and costs (incl. related change management).
- Maintain a strategic focus for the project in a constant interaction with the Development Manager, Owner, and Line Manager.
- Ensure project team members' understanding and commitment to project scope, schedule, and cost as well as lead project team members' to take ownership of their scope.
- Drive for project management best practices and efficient communication in order to create seamless and goal-oriented teamwork in projects.
- Share project management best practices within the organization, beyond own project(s).
- Ensure efficient communication and information sharing between disciplines and other project stakeholders.
- Ensure that project execution fulfils requirements of law, authorities and has required permits granted. Maintain awareness of safety and environmental requirements.
- Carry out project handover to Owner once completed.
- Reporting projects' status and maintaining data in systems according to agreed principles.
Keys to success in this role
- M.Sc. or B.Sc. in engineering or other applicable fields.
- Significant experience (15+ years) in Project Management in EPC/EPCM industrial investment projects.
- Strong insight in proactive Project Management and Control methods, procedures and systems.
- Strong customer interface and experience from the Owner's team role.
- Extensive understanding of investment project life cycle including engineering design, procurement and construction as well as interactions thereto.
- General understanding of contract administration and project finance.
- Fluency in Finnish and English.
- International project management certification, e.g. PMP or IPMA-C and team leadership experience is considered as an advantage.
