What kind of summer job awaits you?

Metsä Group's Technology Group Services IPR team serves all our business units in intellectual property area. The summer trainee's tasks vary from routine administration tasks to assisting in trademark and patent related topics. The tasks include handling patent and trademark formalities such as database maintenance, due date monitoring, document management, digitization of documents, billing, assisting business units in managing the IPR and database system, communication with the external network and ad hoc assistance tasks in IPR administration.

Metsä Group is continuously developing its IPR processes. The work is part of on-going development projects and substituting for our regular personnel. 

What we expect from you?

We are looking for a first or second year economics student from university of applied sciences or university. No prior knowledge from patents or trademarks are needed but are valued as an asset. Successful performance of tasks requires precise way of working, self-initiative and good co-operation skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt to new systems and procedures are required. Good command of English is essential. Work place is at Metsä Group headquarters in Espoo.

Anonymous recruitment - this is how it works

This is an anonymous recruitment process. The gender and date of birth of the applicant are not asked for on the application form. Personal details such as name, mother tongue, time of studies, name of educational institution and contact details are hidden until the interview stage. Attachments (such as CVs) are also hidden.

Recruiters have access to the contact details of those invited for interview once the applicant has been selected for interview.

Our system will guide you through the application process. The questions on the application form will help you present your skills and experience anonymously. Answer all questions carefully. If you're invited for interview, your CV will be displayed to the recruiters to support the interview.

Fill in your application as soon as possible, by 14 February 2025 at the latest. Remember to attach your CV. Fill in the application form in English. Note that attachments won't be visible in anonymous recruitment until the interview stage, so it's important to fill in the application form carefully. We process applications and select summer employees already during the application period.
