Competitive Intelligence Analyst

Growth of our renewable feedstock supply, ability to access new markets and develop new ways of sourcing raw materials are cornerstones of our strategy and key enablers for the growth of Neste’s Renewables business.
 
We are looking for a

Competitive Intelligence Analyst

to join our Feedstock Growth team in Espoo, Finland.

We are a very diverse team of some tens of experts working in several offices globally. Our team is responsible for growing our global waste and residue supply to support the growth of Neste’s renewable business. We do this, by driving upstream integration, unlocking new sourcing markets and feedstocks, and developing new ways to access current markets and raw materials. Due to the fast changing business environment, we target support our strategy implementation by strengthening our competitive intelligence capability.

Your main responsibilities in creating a sustainable future are

• Building a solid understanding of competitive landscape in renewable raw materials sourcing
• Gathering insights from the external market and internal stakeholders in a structured manner
• Synthesise qualitative and quantitative market insights into tangible implications to Neste business and strategy implementation
• Actively seek and implement improvements to feedstock related competitive intelligence processes and tools to increase value add in both commercial and strategic decision making
• Act as a focal point for new market and new feedstock related intelligence work and as a member of wider competitive intelligence network within Neste 
• Facilitate sharing of insights and collaboration with various internal stakeholders 

You will work closely with Feedstock Growth and Supply team members both in Espoo and to global offices in Singapore, Amsterdam and Houston as well as be a part of a larger market and competitive intelligence network with representation from various functions and business units. You will report to the Head of New Sourcing Markets and Business Models, based in Espoo, Finland.

The best combination to success in this role is

• Master's degree in business, engineering or related field
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in market or competitive intelligence, business / commercial / strategy development or management consulting. 
• Experience in competitive intelligence including development of tools and process gathering both qualitative and quantitative information and enabling value adding use of intelligence
• Motivation to learn and energy to further our competitive intelligence capabilities
• Curiosity to explore and ability to distinguish essential information 
• Excellent skills in Excel/Google Sheets, PBI, VBA and other relevant tools 
• Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills with an ability to build relationship and connect with people from diverse backgrounds
• Courage to take initiative and resilience in develop solutions and clear decision making proposals
