We are looking for Concept Manager, Control Systems Design and Automation to join our international Heat Recovery Solutions team.
The purpose of your work is to initiate and develop sustainable and efficient automation concepts and solutions for our new plants. Your focus will be on large-scale industrial systems, integrating several unit processes, connecting different automation platforms and optimizing complex hybrid energy production plants into one energy efficient entity.
As a Concept Manager you develop optimal and tailor-made automation concepts for selected customer cases, manage the investment development together with the team, and support the team through the pre-engineering, detail design and implementation stages. You will be working closely with dedicated process experts, project managers and our Operations & Maintenance organization. Your tasks also include cooperating with process technology providers (for example key equipment suppliers) and managing external engineering resources as part of pre-engineering activities. You have a key role in core technology tendering and contracting, and as a technology expert through the completion of the project.

You will be based in Adven’s head office in Vantaa, Finland, but the work is not tied to one place or time. Flexible remote working and Adven offices around Finland are also available. At Adven we have modern online tools available, however the role is a group level role and will require occasional travelling. You will report to Head of Heat Recovery solutions.
To succeed in the role, we expect you to have
- 10+ years of experience in industrial automation projects or process control design of which several years specifically with automation system architecture design in energy production, food or process industry or industrial water treatment
- BEng or MSc (Tech) degree in automation engineering or another relevant technical field
- Ability to understand various processes, and create energy efficient, affordable and high availability automation concepts around them
- Excellent problem-solving skills and solution-oriented mindset
- Organized and systematic working style, ability to prioritize
- Project management skills, ability to move things forward independently and efficiently
- Good communication and collaboration skills, willingness to work in the customer interface
- The working language is English, so fluent English skills are an absolute requirement; Finnish, Swedish, Estonian, Latvian, or Dutch are considered an advantage.
