As the current Director, Partner Business will be relocating to another position inside Valmet Automation Business Line, we are looking for a new Director, to whom we can offer a challenging and stimulating position within a company characterized by ambition and expertise.
We are looking for a Director focused on managing and developing partner business with Value Added Reseller (VAR) partners and distributors globally for the energy, marine and process industries. The preferred location is our Tampere office.
As a Director, your work consists of developing partner business globally with our existing partners and establishing close cooperation with new partners together with our global regional sales organization. You will manage and be accountable for the partner business together with dedicated sales team as contact persons for assigned partners (Key Account Manager) and you will, together with our specialists, develop automation solutions for our partners. You are responsible for developing long term plans and visions for the further growth of partner business. You will be a member of Energy & Process Systems management team and will report directly to its' Vice President.
Our partner network is global, and the main task will be the sales of Valmet DNA (DCS) and information management solutions through our VAR partners and Boiler Diagnostics Systems (BDS) through distributors to energy and process industry customers. In this position you have an opportunity to obtain international experience when working with our partners and our regional sales organization around the world.
You should have the ability to work with long-term targets and strategy, and to be a resource for our customers in terms of new ideas, products and services. Strategy planning, leading your own sales team, negotiation skills and contract knowledge are a natural part of the job, as well as travelling to meet our customers.
Requirements
The position as a Director requires technical and commercial expertise, therefore we see that you have:
- M.Sc. degree in automation and/or Energy/Process technology
- Experience and knowhow in Energy and/or Process Industries technology
- Experience in automation and DCS systems (preferably experience on Valmet DNA DCS system)
- Experience from international sales including contractual negotiations
- Experience in automation projects within the energy industry or process industry
- Successful track record of obtaining results in a matrix organization
As a person, you are passionate to deliver the best results. You are solution oriented, have a strategic perspective and good planning skills. Furthermore, you have experience of negotiations and enjoy working with technically demanding products and services.
With your good communication and interpersonal skills, you can build and keep up good relationships with your own sales team and both external and internal clients. Good command of English language is essential in this position.
