Feedstock Regulation Manager, Public Affairs

 We are looking for a 

Feedstock Regulation Manager, Public Affairs

to join our Feedstock Regulation team in the Public Affairs organization either in Espoo or Brussels.

Our team influences policies and laws that impact our renewable raw materials, their acceptability and classifications. We drive regulatory raw material acceptances with the relevant authorities and other stakeholders. We understand the relevant regulations and anticipated changes, and provide support and current and forward looking status of classification and acceptance of feedstock to relevant parts at Neste. 

Your main responsibilities in creating a sustainable future are

  • Master current and recognize emerging renewable raw materials related regulatory questions and opportunities and formulate advocacy strategies and implement them together with business and regional Public Affairs teams for favourable outcomes 
  • Recognize current and emerging renewable raw materials related regulatory issues/opportunities especially in Renewable Polymers and Chemicals (RPC) business and communicate these to internal stakeholders
  • Understand the renewable materials supply chain structure, including the customer and end user perspective 

You will work closely with other Public Affairs teams, RPC business unit, Supply chain management and Sustainability teams. You also support other internal teams in various ways as an expert in feedstock related issues. You will report to the Head of Feedstock Regulation based in Espoo.

The best combination to success in this role

  • Academic degree in relevant field 
  • 5-10  years of work experience related to feedstock supply chain, logistics and/or relevant regulation framework
  • Ability to represent Neste before various audiences to influence and drive clarity 
  • Ability to handle a growing number of increasingly complex regulatory questions related to renewable feedstock across a set of geographical markets
  • Excellent written and spoken English, other European languages would be an asset 

We also value

  • Knowledge on EU frameworks on raw materials in the material sector, feedstock related legislation and sustainability questions in biofuels and biomaterials supply chain
  • Basic understanding on life cycle analysis and chain of custody methodologies 
  • Excellent networking (external and internal), negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
