Finance Implementation Specialist

Valmet is going full speed ahead with its business process transformation project, Leap Forward. This transformation program is rolling out new ERP processes and covers every part of Valmet's business.

As part of the Leap Forward program, we are operating Rollout Center of Excellence function, ROCE.  It is a central function which will be serving all Leap Forward rollout projects world-wide. ROCE will help Leap rollout projects to be executed in efficient manner and good quality by providing centralized competences, repeatable processes and standardized tools, templates and methods.  

ROCE consists of several teams: Finance, Company Setup, Data, Enterprise Structure, Training, Validation Testing and Surrounding Systems.

We are now looking for highly motivated finance implementation specialist for

Costing, Inventories and Accounts Payable

to be an integral part of Finance ROCE team,  concentrating to Rollout related tasks like Financial company master data set-up, migrations and implementing Finance surrounding systems and interfaces. The team will work in close cooperation with other ROCE teams.

As a Finance implementation Specialist, you are responsible for:

• Financial company set-up and system configuration support in your substance area.

• Finance master data and transactional data collection; costing, inventories accounts payable migration activities and cut over execution in all rollout phases.

• Finance master data and transactional data cleansing and harmonization coordination and guidance

• Finance data migration tools development and ownership with Data ROCE.

• Business Validation support regarding financial company setup and master data.

• Surrounding Finance system implementation support

• Seamless collaboration with other ROCEs, Leap and finance stakeholders

We are looking for professionals with:

• Strong coordination skills and excellent communication skills with ability to deliver complex messages in an effective way

• Self-motivated drive to fulfill requirements and meet timelines and ability to roll up sleeves when working across teams and functions to influence action

• Ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic environment, identify critical topics and keep others positive and motivated

• Previous working experience within cost accounting, financial accounting, financial reporting, and development projects

• Deep expertise and knowledge of accounting principles and standards in own concept area

• IT system knowledge and expertise on dedicated finance systems, knowledge of Infor LN Technology is an advantage.

• Understanding of Valmet business model and way of working is an advantage.

• Fluent in written and spoken English, competence in other languages is an advantage

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting and/or a recognized accounting qualification

The project team operates in Järvenpää, Finland. Besides Järvenpää you may also be based in any other major Valmet location (Tampere, Jyväskylä, Vantaa).
