About the role
As a Lead Product Engineer you will focus mainly on Evac's novel HydroTreat product, a game changing HTC based system for processing waste into useful biochar. You have a key role to work with product development projects and ensure that they are professionally handled and documented. You have a technical responsibilities of the wet waste treatment products and you will also work with continuous improvement, updates and development of standard systems and products. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as product line managers, sales, delivery projects and sourcing to ensure cost competitiveness, on time delivery and quality of the products.

The office is located in Leppävaara, and Evac offers a flexible remote work opportunity when work tasks allow it. Especially during the onboarding period, we appreciate availability to work in the office. Additionally, this role requires frequent visits to the testing facility in Hyrylä, Tuusula and travelling occasionally.
Work tasks
- Product development projects and ensuring that the projects are professionally handled and documented
- Technical responsibility of the wet waste treatment products, including standard product technical ownership
- Continuous improvement, updates and development of standard systems and products
- Close collaboration with different stakeholders (e.g. product line managers, sales, sourcing)
We are looking for
- M.Sc. or B.Sc. in process or chemical engineering or equivalent
- Proven experience in product development, product management, and/or project engineering
- Strong knowledge of process equipment such as pumps, valves, piping, heat exchangers and pressure vessels
- Ability to perform simplified hydraulic calculations and process equipment dimensioning
- Basic understanding of PDM/PLM tools
- Proactive, well organized and outgoing team player with a can-do attitude
- Full proficiency in English
Experience in wet waste treatment and/or hydrothermal treatment systems is considered
an advantage.
