Maintenance Manager

Valmet's Board and Paper Mills business unit is the industry's leading board and paper technology supplier. Through Valmet global network we provide new board and paper lines, rebuilds and single equipment for our customers. Annually we run on average a half a dozen new line, dozen major rebuild and more than hundred single section or equipment delivery projects.

We are now looking for a Maintenance Manager to our Paper Business line Jyväskylä foundry.  Your main focus is to take care of our maintenance activities to ensure foundry production is running continuously in a safe way and at high performance level. You will operate closely with our maintenance partner companies. We work to provide safe and healthy workplaces for all and we strive to continuously improve the environmental footprint of our value chain. We do this by investing in a positive safety culture, collaborating with customers and partners and constantly improving our processes and practices towards the goal of zero harm to people and environment. You have essential role reaching HSE targets in our processes and production as it is one of our key priorities.

You will cooperate with 80 foundry professionals and external service providers. You will also be a member of our foundry management team.

Expectations

To be successful in this position, you have a technical education and work experience in the relevant field. You are experienced in project management, have proactive working method and good understanding about the costs, impact of loss of production and scheduling of maintenance works. Having a safety and quality mindset combined with analytical problem solving skills are crucial for decision making. You have good communication, collaboration and team building skills. You are fluent in Finnish both written and spoken, English is an asset.
