Our high-flying vision at Kelluu is to transform airships into a new, compact, high-tech form and answer the ever-increasing threat to our lives due to the climate change crisis. By scanning and collecting real-time data from the air with Kelluu airships, we can prevent and minimize, for example, wildfires, floods, and other natural disasters globally, all with nearly zero emissions. https://kelluu.com/
We are looking for a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to help us expand our mission with the airships. You have an important role in designing and documenting all the activities we do.
Here’s what you should handle:
- You design new parts for airships along with our R&D and manufacturing teams. Our aim is top quality with everything we do, from prototypes to manufacturing.
- Along with engineering work, you take care of documentation and keep it up to date.
- You design 3d models and stay up to date with the latest market trends.
- A good overall technical understanding of principles when designing robust UAV systems.
What we look for in your background:
- You should have prior experience in mechanical and/or electrical design and high-quality documentation.
- Conducting simulations and tests to ensure performance and reliability.
- Good collaboration skills with others. Nobody in Kelluu works alone; building airships is difficult, and only by doing things together will we succeed.
- Relevant degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
What we offer:
We offer you a project nobody has ever seen in the Finnish landscape. Our salary range is from 3500-5000e, depending on whether you're a junior or a senior engineer. You’d work as a meaningful part of our growing team, constantly getting new things done. We aim to operate efficiently in Finland and move rapidly towards international markets, making career development possible in our house. The job itself is very rewarding, and you see your contribution daily.
You get help from the company management and our talented R&D team. The work occurs in our airship factory in Joensuu, Finland (located approximately five hours away from the capital Helsinki). The factory is located seven kilometers from the Joensuu city center and is reachable by bus or car. If you move to Finland from abroad, our HR team can help you with practicalities.
