Our Rock Drills Business Unit is now looking for a proactive and development-oriented Engineer to take over an important piece in the development of Rock Drills new product Introduction (NPI). This is a full-time, permanent position and based in Tampere, Finland.

Your mission

As an Engineer, NPI your main tasks include the following:

• Manage all main supply chain activities in new product development projects thru structured NPD project process (Gate model) from initiating to closing phase.
• Follows thru that supply chain objectives, targets, and requirements in NPD projects are met.
• Appropriate deployment of NPI processes in supply chain, meeting all relevant project milestone objectives and deadlines while maintaining clear communication with relevant stakeholders.
• Identifies needs of manufacturing technologies, products, and investments in NPD projects.
• Coordinates and executes sourcing and operative buying activities in supplier network for prototype and ramp-up series.
• Coordinates manufacturing operations in Rock drill factory for prototype and ramp-up series.
• Project communication to relevant stakeholders.

Your background

You possess Bachelor’s or Master’s level degree in engineering, preferably in mechanical or manufacturing, however other engineering sector will also be considered. You have ability to manage project and chair project meetings with stakeholders. You have IT/OT proficiency within ERP systems, Teamcenter, Microsoft operating system and applications. You communicate fluently in Finnish and in English (both written and verbal). Your previous experience in manufacturing processes (casting, heat treatment, machined parts) are seen as benefit.
