- Assisting the group leader in the preparation of research proposals and funding applications in the field of lignocellulosic biopolymers
- Performing independent research and building a research group of your own within the group
- Contributing to the teaching activities of the department
Qualifications
- A doctoral degree in organic or polymer chemistry, chemical engineering, lignocellulosic biopolymer chemistry, biocomposite chemistry, or a closely related field
- A proven track record of high-quality research in lignocellulosic biopolymer chemistry, including lignin and cellulose chemistry and polymer/biopolymer synthesis and characterisation, with applications in at least one of these areas: biobased packaging, bioadhesives/biobinders, biocomposites
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Prior experience in research and development collaboration with industry in the field of polymer or biopolymer applications
In accordance with LUT University's requirements, candidates must demonstrate the ability to conduct independent scientific work and possess teaching skills relevant to the role.
