Procurement Manager Hydrogen

Your role

We are looking for a Procurement Manager, Hydrogen to strengthen Fortum's Corporate Procurement team. As a Procurement Manager, you shall be responsible for the procurement in Fortum’s Hydrogen business area, in the Generation division together with procurement category managers. You will create a sourcing strategy for the Hydrogen business area, relations to main suppliers in the power-to-X field, and ultimately source deliveries to coming investment projects. You will naturally work in close co-operation with Fortum’s hydrogen team.

You will be reporting to the Head of Procurement, Generation and shall be member of Generation procurement leadership team and you will be participating to the procurement development in the Generation division. Your other responsibilities include tasks such as

• developing and implementing the procurement strategy and action plan
• develop supplier relationships
• managing spend within the hydrogen business area
• executing procurement projects in close co-operation with project teams
• providing and monitoring usage of procurement tools in own business area

Preferred location of the job is Fortum’s Espoo or Solna office, however taking into consideration current hybrid model with possibility to combine remote and office work.

Your qualifications

You have an academic degree in a relevant field such as technology or business. You need to have strong leadership, collaboration and project management skills. Furthermore, you have strong problem solving and analytical skills, proven negotiation skills, commercial thinking and the ability to create and execute strategies from scratch. You should also have experience related to either consulting or project procurement or project management. Previous experience, at least 3 years, in strategic procurement in the field of energy or other relevant industry is a clear advantage. In addition, you are fluent in oral and written English. Finnish and Swedish skills are an advantage.
