Product Engineer - Are you passionate about marine technologies and experienced in Emission Control Technology?

Valmet Marine Emission Control Service is now looking for a Product Engineer to our Valmet's Marine Service team to our Raisio or Tampere office. We are working with marine emission control services where customer contacts and support in agreements and projects are major part.
Main tasks:
- Working in the marine emission control services business
- Technical support and trouble-shooting
- Service delivery coordination and execution
- Participation on customer meetings
- Service and Maintenance visits onboard
- Research and technology development of new ideas, new and value adding concepts, products and development of cost competitive offerings for existing products.
- Product engineering in proposal work, projects, service agreements, studies
- Concept definition, process design, dimensioning and technical calculations
- The position will require international travel
You will be working with Customer order projects in service deliveries, where you will be our interface towards Customers. In Customer order service projects you will participate in project coordination and execution, test runs, inspections and service visits of the marine emission control systems.
To succeed in this position
You hold M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering or Electrical/Automation Engineering. In addition to this you will need at least 3 years of working experience. Experience from marine industry and global after sales markets is highly valued. You will be fluent in written and spoken English and Finnish. Other languages are considered as an advantage.
As a person, you are innovative and skilled in technical calculations. You enjoy learning new things and presenting technical solutions to an audience. You possess a positive attitude, strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset. You are a team player who can also navigate independently, both at work and while traveling. Additionally, you have practical hands-on service skills, enabling you to effectively implement and maintain technical solutions. You excel at multitasking, managing various tasks efficiently and effectively. You are also capable of tolerating changes and stress, adapting smoothly to dynamic environments.
