Sales Manager

We are looking for a Sales Manager to join our Sales & Strategic Partnerships team in the Corporate Customers and Markets (CCM) business unit that is responsible for being the customer interface for large industrial customers, electricity retailers and other power trading companies in the Nordic market.

 

About the role 

As an experienced Sales Manager you will develop our high-value sales negotiations and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the sales team. Your office location will be Solna, Sweden but you will also spend time traveling to meet customers. 

 

Your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Actively seeking new clients, identifying potential business opportunities for growth and building a client base. 
  • Sales Presentations and Demonstrations: delivering product or service presentations, demonstrations, and pitches to potential clients. 
  • Leading negotiations, handling objections and ultimately closing sales deals. 
  • Managing and nurturing relationships with key or high-value clients, ensuring their needs and customer satisfaction are met and identifying opportunities for growth. 
  • Keeping records of sales activities in CRM, maintaining customer databases. 

 

The scope of this role covers Fortum full product range incl Commodity Market Access, PPAs, physical supply, portfolio management, Guarantees of origin, flexibility services and strategic partnerships as for example of hydrogen, new nuclear and renewable projects. You will network within the industry as well as managing CCM's existing customer relationships also means cooperation with other business areas of Fortum Group. 

 

About you 

You are a highly driven and pro-active individual and are ready to go beyond the expected requirements of the role. You are also well-structured with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and in a fast paced sales culture.  

 

Furthermore, you will have:

  • Several years of experience from sales
  • Experience gained from the energy industry
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets
  • An understanding of the complexities of large industrial customers 
  • Sales and negotiation skills with the ability to understand the needs and challenges in handling complex contracts and large industrial customers 
  • Experience in large-scale energy contracts is seen as an added advantage
  • Experience dealing with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • University degree and/or a MBA or other applicable degree is preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Swedish

 

A strong commercial awareness and the ability to build relationships is a must for this role. The ideal candidate will also be exceptionally committed to strive for customer excellence and will be result- and business oriented.

Our recruitment process

Please note that the recruitment is on hold during the summer month of July. We will begin screening early August and might begin interviews before the end of the application period.

 

After thorough screening, we will invite the chosen candidates to interview with us in August. The recruitment process will includes two interviews and a digital assessment for those chosen for the second interview. The last steps of the process will include a final discussion and reference checks.

 

To be selected for the position, the applicant may need to go through background clearance and a health examination.
