Introduction

We are seeking a hands-on Dynamics 365 Solutions Architect to join our growing Digital Operations Development team operating under the Digital Organization of our Minerals Business Area. In this role, you'll translate business needs into technical solutions as well as design and deliver technical solutions hands-on within the Dynamics 365 Field Service module. Your work will ensure our field service teams have robust, adaptable, and modern software solutions. This role plays a crucial part in enhancing our frontline delivery operations and supporting our evolving business needs.

This position can be based in our Espoo or Tampere offices in Finland, or at Metso's Digital Studio in Krakow, Poland. We offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid work. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide relocation support for this role.

The Team You Belong To

You will join a collaborative and agile team of D365 experts, including a couple of developers, a tester, and a quality engineer led by Christo (the Director of Operations Development). Together, we develop modern solutions for field service and repair operations built on Dynamics 365.

We work closely with stakeholders like product owners, scrum masters, and the larger Dynamics 365 architecture team to deliver high-quality solutions. Our culture embraces continuous learning, adaptability, and an agile way of working. The team is distributed across Espoo, Tampere, Lappeenranta, Krakow and Mexico.

What You'll Do

  • Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions within the Dynamics 365 Field Service platform guiding the developers.
  • Design and deliver scalable solutions that align with business needs, including scoping, estimation, and sequencing development tasks.
  • Provide hands-on coding and customization using Dynamics 365 tools, focusing on configuration over customization for maintainability.
  • Collaborate with developers, testers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration across Metso's complex IT landscape.
  • Guide the team on Dynamics 365 technical implementation while ensuring timely delivery of solutions.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, particularly integrating generative AI capabilities, and advise on implementing emerging technologies (we use Snowflake).
  • Lead initiatives such as improving first-time fix rates and enabling real-time diagnostics and quotation capabilities for field service technicians.

Who You Are

You'll probably recognize yourself from this

  • Extensive expertise in designing, configuring, and implementing solutions within Dynamics 365, particularly in Field Service or related modules, with the ability to contribute hands-on to coding when needed.
  • A proven track record of translating complex business requirements into technical designs and effectively scoping development work as a Solutions Architect.
  • A strong understanding of complex IT environments, integration layers, and agile development methodologies.
  • Proficiency in .NET, C# and other Microsoft development tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to evolving business needs.
  • Knowledge of generative AI concepts and their integration into enterprise platforms (a plus).

What's in It for You?

This role offers the chance to tackle complex challenges across a variety of interconnected applications. You'll work on integration layers, navigate online and offline systems, and play a key role in shaping our transition to model-driven applications.

We're also starting to integrate Generative AI into our tools, with projects focused on improving field service operations. This includes enabling real-time access to resources for technicians and developing on-the-spot customer quotations during site visits.

The work is varied and evolves with business needs, offering something new every day. You'll collaborate with a global team in an environment that values learning through experimentation, with opportunities to deepen your expertise and expand your skills. We also prioritize an excellent work-life balance and the flexibility of hybrid work.

  • An inspiring purpose - Enabling sustainable modern life. Minerals and metals are the backbone of essential functions in the modern world. However, there's a pressing need for more sustainable solutions to collect and process them. At Metso, you get to be part of transforming the industry and making a positive change.
  • Wellbeing and safety - Benefit from occupational healthcare, generous benefits plan, healthy living rewards, mental well-being services, on-site gym, bicycle benefits, and engagement surveys.
  • Compensation and rewards - Global incentive program tied to business and performance targets, car benefits, and meal benefits.
  • Hybrid working possibilities - While we are big advocates of meeting and collaborating in person, we believe in fostering a flexible work environment.
  • A thriving culture - We are committed to developing an inclusive culture that enables everyone to do their best and reach their full potential. A culture that is courageous, compelling, and caring, and unites our people to build a sustainable future together.
  • Extensive learning opportunities - Ongoing growth dialogues, internal mobility, mentoring programs, education assistance, ambitious projects, and global opportunities.
  • Worldwide support - Leverage our network of peers across the world, offering valuable assistance. We get things done together, through open and honest communication.
