Senior Manager Hydrogen Asset Development

The Generation division is responsible for large scale power production, physical optimization, trading activities and hydrogen development in the Nordic area. This division comprises nuclear, hydro, wind and thermal power production, portfolio management and trading, industrial intelligence, nuclear services and hydrogen development.

About the role

We are looking for a technical project manager to strengthen Fortum’s Hydrogen Development team. You will be reporting to the Head of Hydrogen Development. Your mail role will be to lead the technical development of our projects, from initial pre-feasibility studies through to project commissioning. In addition to this you will support the team with expertise regarding process industry applications, especially regarding hydrogen derivatives such as methanol, methane and ammonia. Geographically, the Nordics is our main focus, with possible locations in Malmö, Solna or Espoo. 

Your main tasks would be to:

Lead and coordinate pre-feasibility, feasibility, pre-FEED and FEED studies, leveraging the expertise from our owner’s engineering team, procurement and other supporting functions and stakeholders

• Manage project execution and commissioning from the final investment decision to the end of the warranty period
• Manage relations with suppliers and contractors, including technical consultants
• Support the whole Hydrogen Development team with expertise regarding hydrogen derivatives.

What we are looking for

You have an academic degree in a relevant engineering field and at least five years of experience related to either technical consulting or technical project procurement or project management, whereof several in the hydrogen field. You  also have a good understanding of the hydrogen derivative markets. You need to have strong leadership, collaboration and project management skills. Furthermore, you have strong problem solving and analytical skills, proven negotiation skills and commercial thinking. You are fluent in oral and written English and one other Nordic language. Additional language skills are a plus.
