We are now looking for a Metal Services Specialist to join our enthusiastic team in our Oulu factory's metal workshop. You will be working with manual machining in a small team delivering prototypes to R&D and production. You get to work with engineers to find solutions to a wide range of manual machining challenges and have direct influence on product program schedules and ramp-ups, both locally and globally.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
As part of our team, you will:
- Work with engineers to find different solutions for manual metalworking
- Collaborate with designers to ensure products are optimized for manufacturability and machining efficiency
- Plan and schedule work orders with a focus on productivity, quality, and timely execution
- Manage inventory and coordinate orders for raw materials, tools, and spare parts
- Have direct influence on product program schedules and ramp-ups, both locally and globally
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You have:
- Relevant education in manual machining
- Experience in manual metalworking: miller, lathe operator and welder
- Cooperative mindset and ability to manage customer interactions
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently
- Basic Finnish and English skills
It would be nice if you also had:
- Experience and understanding of a production environment
- CNC machining skills
