About the role
We are looking for a Physical Power Trader for our renewables & consumption portfolios to join our Customer Asset Trading team in Solna, Stockholm. In this role you will be responsible for forecasting consumption, taking care of our customers production and consumption and of our own renewable production. You will be trading this towards Physical spot market and managing bilateral trades. You will be part of a team working on a rotational basis which includes weekend work every fifth to sixth week. Strategic development of processes and tools are also part of your work.
The division you will be working in, Corporate Customers and Markets (CCM), has an in-depth understanding of the energy markets, and our objective is to serve our customers and optimize Fortum's power production assets. We are hedging, trading and optimizing Fortum's assets with an excellent understanding of customer needs, the power system and energy markets. Our work helps society to ensure the security of supply and to reach net-zero targets. What we are looking for
- You hold a degree in Engineering or Economics, or are in the final year of these studies.
- Alternatively you have relevant work experience from energy markets or energy trading.
- You are passionate about the power markets and have an interest within trading.
- You have an analytical and proactive mindset with the ability to grasp the bigger picture while still paying attention to the details.
- You have good communication and team working skills.
- We see that you are fluent in English. Mastering any other language in the Nordics is seen as an advantage.
