Use this application form to apply for a summer job in S&OE for Metsä Board. This job can be done at one of our mills, in Kemi, Kyröskoski, Simpele, Tampere, Äänekoski, Joutseno, Kaskinen or Husum (Sweden).
What kind of summer job awaits you?
You will be a member of the S&OE team. The S&OE specialist team is responsible for mills' S&OE short-term plan and daily availability management and it is responsible of managing and developing production fine planning. In this role you will report to S&OE Team leader and can be located at one of Metsä Board mills in Finland or Husum in Sweden, or in Espoo Head Office.
In this role you will

Create (monthly) and maintain (daily) production blocks in the S&OE horizon to guarantee customer availability

Create detailed production plans for Metsä Board mills

Maintain orders in case of production changes, inform possible order delays according to the agreed delay handling procedure

Utilize free stock and maximizing the circulation of it

Plan and coordinate external and internal converting

Monitor production and handle exceptions

Guarantee supply availability for customers by handling orders with production availability restrictions, according to the agreed exceptional availability process

Monitor MTS replenishment quantities and handle manual MTS replenishments in problem situations
What are we expecting of you?
We expect you to be reliable, flexible, proactive and cooperative. We value your ability to work independently, and your willingness to learn and develop on the job.
We hope that you have previous experience from the area of production and/or demand planning. Experience with MES system (e.g. TIPS) and SAP R/3 systems would be an advantage. Fluency in English is required. We also require Finnish language skills at the Finnish mills and Swedish language skills at the Husum mill in Sweden.
The summer job in S&OE is well suited for a student of, for example, supply chain, industrial engineering and management at university or college level.
