We are seeking a Supplier Quality Manager/Engineer for the Metso Aggregates business area. As a Supplier Quality Manager/Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring and developing supplier quality and leading a Quality team.

 

This position is located in our Tampere site. 

 

 

What you'll do

 

In this role, you are responsible for creating and developing quality-related processes both internally and at the supplier's end. You also participate in supplier audits. You will monitor and develop supplier quality KPIs and are responsible for achieving the team's targets.

A lot of your work will take place at the supplier's end and with their processes, but you will also collaborate actively with your colleagues within the procurement team, manufacturing areas, engineering, and other internal stakeholders. 

Depending on your experience and background, responsibilities in the role may vary a bit (engineer or manager). Mainly we are looking for a good candidate, who has the desire to develop and grow in the role. 

 

This position involves traveling about 20%. 

 

Who you are

 

To be successful in this role you have a suitable educational background, e.g. B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering. You have experience in supplier quality and related processes, preferably in the manufacturing industry. You are familiar with different quality tools and methodologies, and you already have experience in implementing them in practice. We hope you have previous experience in leading teams.

 

You are a self-driven and goal-oriented person with good leadership skills. You have a systematic and continuous improvement mindset, and you are also resilient in your way of working. As you will be working with different stakeholders, both internally and externally, you have excellent communication and social skills, and you are fluent in Finnish and English
