You will be part of a large global team of world-class technical patent specialists managing Nokia’s leading 5G and 6G standard essential patent portfolio. You will work closely with inventors and standards delegates to identify and protect high value 5G and 6G inventions, from idealization to preparing claim charts. Besides, you will also closely work with the patent attorneys to create high-quality patents, extending your understanding (beyond the technology) toward patent prosecution. With your technical expertise and seamless link to patent prosecution and monetization activities, you will add further value in our world-class patent portfolio development. You will have the technical ownership of a specific technology domain. By being part of a strategic team, with Nokia-wide visibility, you will have a lot of growth opportunities at Nokia.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- Work with inventors to enable high-value 5G and 6G invention disclosures in your technology expertise area
- Work with patent attorneys to enable high-quality patent applications in your technology expertise area
- Make decisions on the further development of the patent portfolio globally in your technology expertise area
- Manage claim charting to the 5G and 6G specifications proving high-value high quality patent portfolio development in your technology expertise area
- Promote a culture of innovation in the company where the technical patent specialists play a central role working closely with the R&D project leads/experts and the patent associates
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or another closely related technology area relevant to Nokia’s business concerns
- Strong technological background and familiarity with cellular communication standards essential technologies such as 5G, preferably on core network and system architecture (e.g. NAS and mobility) or security technologies.
- Ability to work proactively, multi-task and meet aggressive timelines
It would be nice if you also had:
- Strong R&D background and experience in 3GPP related cellular technologies, preferably on core network and system architecture or security technologies.
- Invention/patent track record, preferably on core network and system architecture or security technologies.
- Understanding of the patenting process
