Technical Sales Engineer

Our solutions improve the performance and durability of electronics, optics and solar cells, as well as many other emerging thin film applications needed for example in electric car batteries and 5G transmitters. Atomic layer deposition (ALD) is a way to create films so thin that they seem invisible, but help manufacturers and researchers innovate with products for all kinds of purposes – even saving our planet.

Now we are looking for a

Technical Sales Engineer

to support the sales of Beneq’s ALD Semiconductor equipment. Our customers comprise of semiconductor fabs, foundries and leading research organizations. Main tasks will include supporting soliciting potential customers, processing inquiries and RFQ’s, and helping in preparation of commercial quotations rich in technical content. Tasks will also include the development of appropriate sales support tools.

The position is located in Espoo, Finland and you will join the Business Development & Sales team in our Semiconductor ALD Business Unit. In your role you will report to Head of Sales. Our recently renovated office is located in Olarinluoma - a short walk from the Niittykumpu metro station.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Development and management of equipment related sales documents in collaboration with the Product team
  • Training and supporting Sales team globally on preparation of high-quality equipment and upgrade quotations and related technical documentation
  • Preparation of responses to customer RFQ’s/specifications and supplier questionnaires
  • Development of equipment related technical sales tools (e.g. tool throughput calculator)
  • Support preparation of equipment related technical presentations

The things that will help you succeed:

  • A strong technical background with MSc in Engineering, Microelectronics or Materials Science
  • Business-driven mindset; sales/marketing experience is an advantage
  • Passion for details and customer orientation
  • Enthusiasm to work in a truly global environment
  • Teamwork orientation
  • Fluency in spoken English and an excellent command of written English
  • Fluency with Microsoft (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Experience with thin film deposition technologies, equipment or materials especially Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) is a significant advantage.
