We are now looking for a new colleague to join our product management team. The team is part of the Product Development and Management department located in Espoo, Finland. We are also part of a Nordic wide Facility Management Business Unit. In the Product Development and Management department we are a group of + 20 professionals in the fields of product development, QA, devops and product management. You work closely with product management, our two feature teams and our colleagues in the Nordic countries.
We design and develop our innovative EG Optimaze SaaS-products for the facility and real estate management sector. Our main products are smart office solution Worksense and lease management solution Lease. More info about our products: https://www.rapal.com/fi/
Your workday and your tasks
As our new UX Designer, you will play a key role in designing and developing our SaaS products for the Nordic market. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating daily with the product management and development teams to develop user centered designs using an agile software development process.
- Conducting user research and utilizing data to inform design decisions.
- Participating in product discovery and validation to identify user needs and pain points.
- Designing both web and mobile professional use applications. (We are using Figma at the moment).
- Communicating effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
- A typical workday would involve working closely with the team, conducting user research, making design decisions, creating wireframes, prototyping and testing, collaborating with engineers and product managers, making changes based on feedback and developing our design system and processes.
Overall, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects that will make a real impact on the fields of smart office and facility management solutions.
What we expect from you
You are the ideal candidate for the UX-designer position if you have:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in UX Design.
- Strong portfolio of previous work, showing a solid understanding of user-centered design principles in SaaS-products.
- Good skills in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD or Sketch.
- A great communicator in both Finnish and English.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Proactive and positive attitude.
It is advantage if you have:
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Understanding of user research methodologies and tools.
- Experience working with design systems.
- Experience with accessibility and inclusive design.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
