Your role
We are looking for a summer worker to join our Calibration team in Espoo. The duration of the work assignment is approximately 3 months or as agreed.
In this role, you will perform calibrations and maintenance activities within Orion's Espoo pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities and laboratories.
Your work ensures that the equipment used in pharmaceutical production, quality control laboratories, and R&D laboratories maintains the required measurement accuracy and compliance. By securing reliable measurement performance, you play a key role in supporting both product quality and regulatory requirements.
You will be working in a part of team of five persons and you will report to Calibration Manager Tapio Järnefelt.
What you can expect from us
Our Calibration team ensures the metrological verification of equipment and process measurements, demonstrating and maintaining high measurement accuracy across the organization. The team is responsible for all supply chain related calibrations at Orion's manufacturing sites. In addition, the team performs equipment maintenance and supports local maintenance functions, particularly in troubleshooting and fault situations. The group also contributes to technical change and development projects within the supply chain.

What are we looking for?
You are a proactive, precise, and diligent team player with a technical orientation. You are also committed to agreed practices and consistently follow them. Previous experience in instrumentation, calibration or measurement technology is an advantage, but it is not required.
The person we are looking for can be student in the field of automation, mechanical or electrical engineering (Vocational school, University of Applied Sciences or University). In addition, we hope that you have good communication and documentation skills in Finnish. Our working language is Finnish.

Your new team
Orion's Global Operations covers the entire pharmaceutical manufacturing process, from sourcing of raw materials to the manufacture of products, packaging and delivery to customers. We are also responsible for the industrialization of new products and product life cycle management.
In Global Operations we have approximately 1,600 professionals working in Production, our external supplier network (Externally Sourced Operations) and Fermion Oy (API manufacturing and marketing). In addition, the organization includes Supply Chain & Procurement, Technical Operations, Facility Management, EHS (Environment, Health and Safety), CPD&LCM (Commercial Product Development & Product lifecycle management) and Operations Development.
Technical Operations unit is responsible for Orion's supply chain production technology and its maintenance. The main task of the unit is to ensure that the production equipment, facilities and systems meet the quality, safety and capacity requirements set for them. Calibration team is a part of Validation and Calibration department, which includes around 25 experts is responsible for the validation and calibration of facilities, equipment and systems.
