This role sits at the intersection of strategy and M&A, working closely with Nokia’s senior leadership to identify, evaluate, and execute new growth opportunities — both organic and inorganic. Ideal candidates bring substantial experience from investment banking, management consulting, corporate development, or corporate strategy, and are ready to manage entire deal processes and strategic analyses from thesis through execution.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- Support all phases of deal execution, including sourcing, screening, due diligence coordination, and investment committee materials.
- Manage and own agreed deals / projects entirely.
- Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams — finance, strategy, legal, and business units — during due diligence, deal execution and integration.
- Lead or contribute to strategy projects and investigations on key themes of the company and its businesses.
- Assist with annual strategic planning, performance reviews of key investments, and post-close integration planning to ensure strategic objectives are met.
- Track key performance metrics for acquired companies and support smooth transitions post-acquisition.
- Lead market scans and target identification, building prioritization frameworks for potential acquisitions or partnerships.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analyses and build valuation models (DCF, trading comps, precedent transactions) for M&A, divestitures, and strategic partnerships.
- Prepare detailed business cases, presentations, and valuation models for senior leadership and the Board.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You have:
- Minimum [10 years] of experience in investment banking, corporate development, management consulting, or corporate strategy.
- Experience in relevant high technology sectors, and interest in and willingness to delving into technology topics; telecom experience is a plus.
- Ability to run deal processes independently in a fast-paced environment and sometimes multiple projects running simultaneously.
- Capability to create and nurture required internal/external networks.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to connect market insight to business impact.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
- A high degree of integrity, sufficient attention to detail and execution discipline.
- Highly motivated self-starter with strong intellectual curiosity and teamwork orientation.
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Industrial Engineering and Management, or a related field.
