Cloud Platform Engineer

Job Description

At Aspia, we stand with the leaders, teams and companies who dare to grow. Growth requires clarity, courage and partnership - and we are committed to creating the space where ambition can thrive.

As our cloud platform capabilities continue to evolve, we are looking for an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to join us in building a secure, scalable, and well-governed Azure platform foundation for Aspia Group.

Aspia is an international group specializing in finance, payroll and HR outsourcing, powered by modern technology and deep human expertise. Across the Nordics, we help organizations simplify complexity so they can focus their energy on what truly drives progress.

Skills & Requirements

As a Cloud Platform Engineer at Aspia, you will build and evolve our Azure platform capabilities with a particular focus on the Azure landing zone concept. This role sits at the core of our cloud foundation and combines platform engineering, governance, and networking. You will help create the standardized building blocks, guardrails, and connectivity patterns that enable application teams to deploy and operate workloads in Azure in a secure, scalable, and efficient way.

Your primary responsibility is to design, maintain, and continuously improve Azure landing zone capabilities that support both business and application needs while aligning with architectural standards, security requirements, and cloud governance principles. In practice, this means working with foundational areas such as management group structures, subscription patterns, Azure Policy guardrails, platform standards, and reusable onboarding patterns for workloads. A key part of the role is to guide and support application teams in adopting the landing zone concept effectively.

You will also take particular responsibility for networking within the platform, including connectivity design, segmentation principles, routing and access patterns, and the continuous improvement of secure network foundations for Azure-hosted services.

You will work as part of the skilled Group IT Cloud and Operations team as a part of platform team. The team consists of professionals based in Sweden and Finland, and you will collaborate broadly across the organization. You will report to the infrastructure team Manager. This is a permanent position.

Key responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and improve the Azure landing zone concept and the core platform capabilities that support workload onboarding at scale

- Build and refine reusable patterns and lifecycle management for subscriptions, governance, platform services, and workload onboarding in Azure

- Take ownership of networking within the landing zone concept, including network architecture, connectivity patterns, segmentation principles, and secure access to shared services

- Support application teams in adopting the platform by providing guidance, technical support, and practical ways of working for Azure deployments

- Collaborate with architects, security teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with platform strategy, governance requirements, and security controls

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of platform automation, documentation, and operational practices to reduce friction and technical debt

- Promote standardization and best practices that improve platform consistency, resilience, and long-term maintainability

What we expect from you

- Solid experience with Microsoft Azure in a cloud platform, infrastructure, or similar engineering role

- Good understanding of Azure landing zones, cloud governance, and enterprise-scale platform foundations

- Hands-on experience with Azure networking, including connectivity, routing, segmentation, and secure access design

- Ability to work in a structured, proactive way and collaborate effectively with different stakeholders

- Experience with infrastructure as code and automation is an advantage

- Good written and spoken English; Finnish or Swedish is an advantage

- Relevant education or equivalent practical experience

We want you to thrive

At Aspia, you will join a collaborative environment where curiosity, trust, and continuous improvement are central. You will work alongside skilled colleagues across the Nordics and play an important role in shaping the cloud platform capabilities that support our growth. This is an opportunity to combine hands-on technical work with real platform ownership in an international environment where your expertise will make a visible impact.

We work in a hybrid model with flexible working hours, and we hope to see you a few days per week at our Espoo office. We also offer employee benefits that support health and wellbeing.
