We are looking for a Controller, Production to join our Global supply finance team. In the team, we focus on maintaining and further developing Global Supply business finance, management reporting, and management system. Global supply organization, established in summer 2025 to support Valmet's cost-competitiveness by optimizing and leveraging Valmet's global scale in procurement and production, provides great opportunities to contribute. Alongside acting as finance business partner for Lapua and/or Tampere manufacturing locations, participation to process & report development in GS business finance will be key part of your job.

You will focus on management reporting month-end closing activities, business requirements, business processes and enhanced analytics. In this position, you will reveal efficiency and performance improvement potentials and ensure accurate cost monitoring and reporting in order to support decision-making that strengthens our operations and profitability. Depending on your profile, we further define your responsibilities within business controlling and management reporting. You will work in close co-operation with business stakeholders and global controller network in in Global supply and Business areas in various Valmet locations around the world. You will be located to Tikkurila, Tampere or Jyväskylä.

In this role you will:

  • Member of manufacturing location management teams provide expertise in Finance and other policy guidance to support operations.

  • Support business decisions through operational analysis, including business performance measures & KPIs.

  • Coach business with finance related topics

  • Coordinate forecasting & budgeting processes.

  • Prepare and develop monthly reporting according to Global Supply and Valmet management systems.

  • Drive cost competitiveness in production

  • Drive global management reporting structures and accuracy of financials.

  • In charge of operation cost elements: capacity cost, capacity utilization, hourly rates, absorption.

  • In charge of controlling inventory, investments, work in progress, fixed assets, Net Working Capital.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, rules, and regulations and corporate governance practices.

To be successful in this position, you will need:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Industrial Management or Business Administration.

  • +3 years' experience in financial management, business controlling and cost accounting.

  • Experience in manufacturing in an international/global environment is an advantage.

  • Experience of finance reporting tools, report and dashboard development, especially using Power BI, with good knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and excellent proficiency in Excel.

  • Travel may be required occasionally.

You understand the fundamentals of accounting, and you have strong analytical skills and ability to convert analysis into actions. You enjoy working in a versatile role containing development of new demands and ways of working, but you also take responsibility for routines. You like working independently and with others and your collaboration skills are great, and you speak fluent English and Finnish. Your work style is proactive, you are result-oriented, and you have ability to organize and prioritize your tasks in a fast-paced environment.
