You will work hands-on with simulation models, analytical tools and software functions that support primarily pulp, paper and energy, but also other process industries. Examples of daily tasks include generating new ideas, creating product specifications, developing models, participating in system tests and supporting customer training. Your work directly contributes to smarter, more connected and more sustainable production environments.
Your responsibilities

You will create and refine process models for advanced simulations for real processes used in operator training, system testing and predictive support.

You will program analytical functions and contribute to digital twin development in our product development projects.
- You will collaborate closely with teams across Valmet and engage with customers globally to ensure high value and accurate simulation solutions.
- You will support the evolution of our simulation-based products used across pulp, paper, energy and other process industries.
- You will occasionally travel to support project or customer needs.
What we expect from you

You have a Master's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, or you bring equivalent professional experience.

You have experience or interest in programming, for example Python or similar languages.
- You communicate confidently in English, both written and spoken.
- You enjoy working in a collaborative and international environment.
Nice to Have

Experience or knowledge in modelling and simulation, control engineering, or similar areas.

Experience with Dymola or other modelling environments.
- Background or interest in process industries such as pulp, paper, or energy.
- Experience working with analytical models or digital twin solutions.
