The Impact You'll Make
As a Development Engineer, Power Electronics, you will help ensure the performance, reliability, and long-term competitiveness of our AC drives portfolio. Your expertise will directly contribute to delivering high-quality solutions that customers depend on every day.
Working within our Product Engineering Center, Finland, you will play a key role in sustaining and improving products already in production. Your work will support continuous product enhancements, component lifecycle management, and technical problem-solving that keeps our solutions performing at their best.
You will collaborate closely with colleagues across quality, testing, procurement, manufacturing, and supplier networks, helping bring engineering excellence into every stage of the product lifecycle.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design and develop power electronic and main circuit solutions that support the performance and reliability of our AC drives portfolio.
- Select and dimension key components such as power semiconductors, capacitors, and inductors to support product improvements.
- Perform electrical calculations, simulations, and design verification activities to ensure robust technical solutions.
- Create and maintain technical specifications and design documentation that support product quality and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities to enhance products already in production.
What We're Looking For
- Educational background in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
- Knowledge of power electronics, power conversion, or AC drive technology gained through studies, projects, internships, or work experience.
- Familiarity with power semiconductors, including IGBTs.
- Experience with engineering tools such as MATLAB/Simulink or similar simulation software.
- Analytical thinking, a willingness to learn, and the ability to communicate effectively in English.
