We are looking for Director to drive global Procurement function.
We are looking for a seasoned procurement leader to drive Valmet Automation Solutions' global Procurement function. In this role, you will build and develop our procurement practices, strengthen processes, and ensure consistent ways of working across the organization. Working closely with your team and our key stakeholders, you will define and implement a procurement strategy that delivers measurable business value.
As a member of our global procurement community, you will have a central role in shaping strategic direction and operational excellence. You will develop globally aligned processes, elevate supplier collaboration, and steer decision-making in a complex and fast‑changing business environment. Your leadership will directly influence our performance and long‑term competitiveness.
Your responsibilities:

You lead global strategic and operational procurement across the Automation Solutions business to ensure effective, high‑quality sourcing decisions.

You develop and optimize procurement practices, processes, and performance across all regions.

You lead and support Global Category Managers and regional procurement teams to achieve aligned results.

You personally negotiate major commercial and contractual agreements, ensuring strong business outcomes.

You partner cross‑functionally to drive procurement strategy execution and lead change initiatives.
Expectations for you:

You have a master's degree in economics, engineering, or a related field.

You bring solid experience in global procurement or supply chain leadership roles.

You have proven capability to influence stakeholders across a matrix organization.

You communicate effectively in English with strong presentation and interpersonal skills.

You have demonstrated experience in people leadership and capability development.
-
Travel to global locations and suppliers is required.
