In this role, you will be responsible for designing and governing Finnair's enterprise integration architecture - ensuring that systems, APIs, data flows, and platforms interoperate reliably, securely, and at scale across operational, commercial, and enterprise domains.

You will define the integration strategy and drive common principles, standards, and patterns (e.g., API-first, event-driven integration, messaging/data movement) and maintain integration roadmaps aligned with enterprise architecture and platform evolution.

You will work closely with architects, solution and platform teams, and external partners to ensure integration decisions support scalability, resilience, performance, and security-and that integration becomes a consistent foundation for Finnair's long-term digital transformation.

What You Will Do:

As an Integration Architect, you will:

  • Design the target-state integration architecture supporting long-term digital transformation across customer, operations, retailing, enterprise and data & AI domains.

  • Define and maintain integration principles, standards and patterns (APIs, events, messaging, data movement).

  • Modernize and guide event-driven architecture (pub/sub, streaming, event schemas, asynchronous orchestration).

  • Define and govern API architecture principles (API management, versioning, lifecycle, developer experience).

  • Ensure integration solutions meet key non-functional requirements (scalability, resilience, performance, observability).

  • Model and maintain end-to-end integration flows across platforms (channels, operational systems, enterprise systems, data platform).

  • Prevent point-to-point proliferation by promoting reusable integration components and shared services.

  • Drive integration governance and quality practices (naming, security, schema governance, contract testing).

  • Provide technical leadership to teams and initiatives, guiding pattern selection and modern integration technologies (API gateways, event brokers, iPaaS, cloud integration).

  • Partner with security and data teams to ensure secure-by-design integrations and regulatory compliance (e.g. GDPR).

  • Review and guide system-to-system interface designs across business-critical systems.

  • Oversee vendor-delivered integration work and support tooling decisions and modernization roadmap.

What we are looking for?

  • 5-10 years in integration architecture, solution architecture, or platform engineering roles.

  • Ability to design scalable, resilient and secure integrations in cloud environments.

  • Hands-on knowledge of integration platforms and tools (API management, streaming, iPaaS).

  • Experience in defining standards, governance and reusable integration patterns.

  • Ability to model end-to-end integration flows across complex system landscapes.

  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills with business, data, security and engineering teams.
