Lead Validation Engineer

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all validation activities and ensuring efficient operation of the electrical test laboratory. Key responsibilities include planning and coordinating complex test programs, developing advanced test strategies and driving innovation in test methods and capabilities. The Lead Engineer provides technical leadership, mentors the team and ensures alignment with organizational goals while maintaining compliance with quality, safety, and procedural standards.

 

  • Oversee and coordinate all validation activities in the laboratory
  • Plan and manage complex test programs, including setup, execution, and documentation
  • Develop advanced test strategies, processes, and automation solutions
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor team members
  • Ensure laboratory safety and equipment reliability
  • Drive global collaboration with Eaton test organizations
  • Align validation efforts with organizational goals and standards
  • Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent field). Advanced knowledge or additional certifications in testing and validation are considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical installations, power electronics, and validation testing, including leadership responsibilities in laboratory or engineering environments.

Skills:

  • Expert-level knowledge of electrical systems, UPS technologies, and power electronics
  • Extensive experience with laboratory instrumentation, automation frameworks, and firmware integration
  • Proven ability to design and implement advanced test strategies and processes
  • Deep understanding of global testing standards and accreditation requirements
  • Ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement in validation practices
  • Strategic thinker with strong decision-making and leadership skills
  • Ability to inspire and guide teams toward achieving technical and organizational goals
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and adaptability in complex, global environments
