Manager, Inventory Performance

Introduction

 

Global playground with hundreds of warehouse locations, several warehouse types, several material types – and one Business Area of Metso. Are you ready for an inventory challenge?

 

We are further strengthening our Inventory Management organization and are looking for a Manager, Inventory Performance to join us within the Consumables (CNS) Business Area. You will be responsible for raising our maturity in inventory management and running our inventory performance processes across all Business Lines in CNS globally. In this role you will develop our inventory management capabilities e.g. in inventory healthiness and related analytics.

 

You will develop our policies, standards, and our data analysis capability. Essential part of this role is to execute different type of data analysis and take actions together with stakeholders. An essential part of this role is to conduct various types of data analyses and translate insights into actions together wityh stakeholders.

 

The role can be located in Tampere, Espoo, Sala, Oradea, Siauliai, Ankara or Centurion.

While we support hybrid ways of working, we hihgly value in-person collaboration and relationship building. Therefore, regular presence at the local office is expected.

We are further developing our rather new organization and our ways of working and looking for the best candidate to join us on this journey.

We work closely with both the full Consumables business area and all the market areas. Our team culture is all about driving for results, creating value for Metso and our customers and succeeding together. You will report to the Director, Inventory Management.

 

 

What you’ll do

 

  • Drive development of governance models, policies, processes and ways-of-working of inventory management
  • Identify and further develop use of AI in inventory management
  • Plan and/or coordinate development initiatives e.g. warehouse footprint changes
  • Drive and further develop supply lane optimization
  • Facilitate the maintenance of Inventory Management roadmap
  • Participate in monthly SIOP governance
  • Execute inventory performance processes
  • Execute adHoc data analysis and provide actionable business recommendations 

 

  

Who you are

 

  • You are a team player and willingness to develop next level inventory management
  • You have master’s, or bachelor’s degree in Business or Industrial Engineering and Management
  • You have 5+ years of experience of inventory management e.g. distribution centers, customer consignments and own manufacturing
  • You have excellent mathematical skills
  • You have solid skills in data analytics and AI (MsExcel is just your breakfast)
  • You have a proven track record in driving operational initiatives related to inventory management development
  • You have demonstrated success in collaborating with and influencing various stakeholders in a diverse organizational environment
