We are looking for an experienced IT Project Portfolio Manager to join our IT Portfolio management team. As the key liaison between business stakeholders, IT and internal/external project managers, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our IT Project portfolio to the realization of our strategic objectives. In this role, you will ensure that our IT investments align with business objectives, deliver value, and support growth.
This position can be in any major Valmet location in Finland (Vantaa Tikkurila, Tampere, Jyväskylä).

Oversee the entire IT project portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

Monitor portfolio performance, risks, and dependencies, providing actionable insights.

Plan and implement metrics relating to IT project success, project attributes and performance to ensure project goals and objectives are met

Collaborate with stakeholders across Business Areas and IT teams to ensure transparency and effective governance for e.g. facilitating IT project portfolio steering meetings

Drive continuous improvement in IT project portfolio management processes and tools.
To succeed in this role, you preferably have

M.Sc./B.Sc. level degree in Computer Science, Information systems or another applicable field

5+ years' experience working with both demand and project portfolio management in IT or business context

Experience in process design and documentation

Good knowledge of ITMS/portfolio management tools

Reporting, presentation, and financial analysis skills

Project management skills

Service and collaboration mindset with big-picture view

Good social skills and ability to cooperate with a larger number of stakeholders

Ability to operate independently and deliver results

Fluent written and spoken English
