We are looking for a Mechanical QA/QC Engineer for a permanent position in a major industrial project located in Kotka.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will work on quality assurance and quality control tasks within the mechanical discipline, closely collaborating with various stakeholders. The position involves managing documentation, performing inspections, and overseeing daily quality control activities on-site. You will have the opportunity to develop professionally in a challenging international environment.
Your main responsibilities:
- Prepare and review quality management documents (e.g., ITP – Inspection and Test Plan, Method Statement) and update them according to project progress
- Verify subcontractor qualifications and equipment compliance
- Conduct inspections of incoming materials and equipment and document approvals in line with ITP requirements
- Perform daily on-site quality supervision, report non-conformances, and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Prepare SSR and NCR reports (Site Surveillance Report, Non-Conformance Report) and follow up on corrective measures
- Carry out quality data analysis and develop improvement actions
What we expect from you:
- Relevant technical degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.), preferably in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in mechanical installation, commissioning, and QA/QC activities
- Good knowledge of European standards and Finnish regulations
- Full professional proficiency in English
- A meticulous, systematic, and solution-oriented approach to work
