Introduction

 

We are seeking a Product Manager for Mechanical Flotation at Beneficiation Product Group in the Services Business Area to join our Flotation Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for spares, upgrades, retrofits and performance-based service products for Metso's Mechanical Flotation portfolio. The role is critical to ensuring profitable growth, strong go‑to‑market execution, and clear product governance as part of our long‑term flotation services strategy. In this position, you will report to the Product Director, Flotation Services.

 

Preferred location for this position is Espoo, Finland. However, other locations can be considered.

Please note that the position requires occasional international travel.

 

 

Team you'll belong to

 

You will join a team of experienced professionals dedicated to supporting our customers throughout the entire equipment lifecycle. We work closely with the Flotation Product Group, our colleagues in the Beneficiation and Dewatering Business Lines, Market Areas, and other key stakeholders. Our team culture is strongly focused on value creation and, most importantly, on turning that value into real customer impact. The team is globally distributed, with members based in Espoo, Finland, and Burlington, Canada.

 

 

 

What you'll do

 

  • Own the Mechanical Flotation services portfolio (upgrades, retrofits, performance-based services) with full accountability for commercial and technical success
  • Define and drive product strategy, lifecycle roadmaps, and investment plans
  • Drive growth and profitability across the installed base
  • Develop clear, quantified value propositions and support product marketing
  • Define pricing, portfolio structure, and availability aligned with business targets
  • Ensure scalable product data, documentation, and tools for sales and delivery
  • Secure delivery readiness and supply chain alignment with key stakeholders
  • Collaborate across Proposal, R&D, Engineering, Delivery, and Sales to ensure product success
  • Capture and share customer insights and product knowledge across the organization
  • Support sales teams and customers in key opportunities as product expert
  • Contribute to new Capex product development and market introduction

 

 

 

Who you are

 

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field
  • Around five years of experience in product management or service product ownership within an industrial or technical environment
  • Proven knowledge of flotation processes and mechanical flotation equipment, with the ability to apply this understanding in services, upgrades, and retrofit offerings
  • Service business experience and a good understanding of product lifecycle management
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to translate customer value into profitable offerings
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks, lead structured problem‑solving, and manage change in a dynamic environment
  • Proven ability to work cross‑functionally and influence without formal line authority
  • Good team‑working skills and the ability to work independently and proactively with a service‑oriented approach
  • Strong written and spoken English
