Product Manager - Services

Landis+Gyr is positioning itself as the key partner for utilities in the energy transition, working tightly with and supporting utilities towards a greener tomorrow.  In the evolving energy industry, the role of data is growing along with the technical capabilities to collect ever more data from the grid edge.  This in turn drives the opportunity and need for solutions that take the complexity out from collecting ever increasing amounts of data, from a variety of devices, via a variety of communication channels at scale to enable utility business processes and value creation with data.  
Landis+Gyr offers devices, software and solutions to address the challenges utilities face in managing grid edge devices and acquiring data necessary for multiple business processes.  

We are now looking for a Product Manager to join our team in Finland to drive our offering for Services Portfolio.


About the role

Join our Software & Services team and help utilities manage energy better by defining, scaling, and optimizing software-enabled service offerings across our smart metering and grid solutions portfolio. As Product Manager, you will own a dedicated service portfolio end to end and play a central role in shaping our service strategy and future roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

Service Portfolio Ownership
-    Own and manage a defined services portfolio throughout its full lifecycle (concept, launch, growth, optimization, retirement).
-    Build and maintain the long term strategy, roadmap, and corresponding business cases.
-    Conduct continuous portfolio analysis to ensure competitiveness, profitability, and customer value.


New Service Definition & GTM

-    Identify customer needs and market opportunities in AMI, grid software, data services, and managed services.
-    Translate insights into service concepts, value propositions, requirement sets, and commercial models.
-    Define pricing & packaging structures (subscription, consumption based, tiered managed services).
-    Lead go to market preparations with Sales, Pre Sales, Delivery, and Marketing.


Cross Functional Leadership

-    Collaborate closely with R&D, Cloud Operations, Software Development, and Architecture teams to align technical feasibility and delivery plans.
-    Prioritize backlogs with SW PMs and partners and guide scope for incremental releases.
-    Support Sales and Bid teams on complex tenders, incl. solution design, cost assumptions, and customer presentations.


Partner Management

-    Identify and manage technology and service delivery partners that complement our service portfolio.
-    Define certification criteria, joint development opportunities, and co selling motions.
-    Build long-lasting, value driven partnerships that scale market reach.


Operational Excellence & Quality

-    Collaborate with Service Delivery, Service Operations and Support to define the requirements for service readiness and operational robustness (SLAs, monitoring, incident process, onboarding).
-    Collaborate with Service Delivery on continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and SLA performance trends.
-    Align with Security, Privacy, and Compliance on data protection and cyber requirements.


Your Profile
As a person you have a strategic mindset and can connect strategy to day-to-day execution. You are a customer-obsessed and goal-oriented team player, driving things proactively forward and you negotiate constructively. You are curious to understand customer problems and passionate in turning challenges into opportunities and solutions. 


Experience and Skills

-    5-10 years of Product Management experience in SaaS, cloud services, managed services, or data/analytics-ideally in energy, utilities, IoT, or industrial/critical infrastructure domains.
-    Strong understanding of service lifecycle management and PLM methodologies.
-    Proven ability to define, launch, and scale subscription based or managed service offerings.
-    Comfortable with technical topics such as software, integrations, APIs, and cloud operations.
-    Solid business acumen: pricing, business case modeling, revenue forecasting, P&L awareness.
-    Skilled communicator, able to work effectively with cross functional teams and executive stakeholders.
-    Fluent in English; Finnish is a strong advantage but not mandatory.
