Are you ready to take on a high-impact project leadership role? We are looking for a Project Manager to play a key part in shaping the future of our Terminal Tractors portfolio. As part of the Terminal Tractors Strategy Team, you will lead New Product Development projects and strategic initiatives that directly support Kalmar's ambition to become the forerunner in sustainable material handling equipment and services.
What are your key responsibilities:
- NPD Execution: Lead and manage New Product Development (NPD) projects from concepting to launch by ensuring fast, effective, and on-time project execution.
- Strategy Execution Support: Support the Strategic Improvement Priority Owners in leading and driving impact through regular action planning, RCCM analysis and KPI tracking.
- Portfolio Reporting: Provide senior leadership with transparent visibility into project statuses, key performance indicators (KPIs), risks, and resource utilization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary bridge between Product Management, R&D, Supply Chain, Operations, and Services to ensure products meet market requirements and manufacturing feasibility.
- Process Governance: Guide and challenge project teams to drive impact through our processes ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively develop and refine project management processes and ways of working to enhance organizational efficiency and shorten time-to-market.

What you bring to the role:

Engineering & Business Foundation: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.

Cross-Functional Project Leadership: 5+ years of experience leading complex projects in heavy machinery, automotive manufacturing, or management consulting within an international environment.

Project Management Excellence: Advanced project management skills supported by certification such as PMP or IPMA, with a strong focus on delivery, structure and impact.

Process & Continuous Improvement: Lean Six Sigma (Yellow, Green or Black Belt) and familiarity with Strategy Deployment methods such as Hoshin Kanri.

Tools, Drive & Stakeholder Influence: Advanced user of tools like Smartsheets and Google Drive, combined with a strong can-do attitude and the ability to align and influence stakeholders across all organisational levels.
- Travel Flexibility: You are comfortable with occasional international travel to support global collaboration.
- Location: You are located in a Kalmar operating country within Europe.
