Automation Solutions Business Area Global Procurement is looking for a Purchaser to join the Tampere Supply Center (TSC) Operative Procurement team. This is a fixed-term position located in Tampere (Yrittäjänkatu).

Your role

As a Purchaser, you are responsible for purchasing both materials and services for customer projects and internal stakeholders. The scope includes material purchases as well as installation work, engineering services and other project-related services. You play an important role in ensuring smooth and on-time project deliveries.

Your daily work involves close cooperation with internal stakeholders such as Category Management, Project Coordinators, Project Management, Production Planning, and R&D. You will also maintain and develop supplier relationships together with the responsible Category Manager.

You will report to the Purchasing Manager and work as part of a professional and collaborative operative procurement team.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Purchasing materials as well as installation, engineering and other service-related work

  • Ensuring availability and on-time delivery for customer projects

  • Maintaining and developing supplier relationships together with Category Management

  • Close collaboration with internal stakeholders across functions

  • Ensuring purchasing activities comply with agreed processes, contracts and policies

What we expect from you

To succeed in this role, you have:

  • A degree in Engineering, Economics or other relevant field

  • At least a couple of years of experience in purchasing (material and/or service procurement)

  • Good understanding of procurement processes and how purchasing supports business and project execution

  • Basic understanding of business economics and taxation related to purchasing and service procurement

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • An analytical and problem-solving mindset

  • A proactive attitude and willingness to continuously develop ways of working

  • Solid IT skills; experience with ERP systems (Infor LN is an advantage)

In addition, you are well organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy working as part of a team. A customer-oriented and hands-on approach combined with analytical thinking will support your success in this role.

Fluency in Finnish and English, both written and spoken, is required.
