THE ROLE
As a Senior Frontend Developer at Kempower, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of the EV market. Your key responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing the high technical quality of our Angular-based front-end. In this role, you will develop a state-of-the-art interface using the Kempower design system and the latest tools to ensure an optimal user experience. You'll also be an integral part of our end-to-end development team, working closely with the front-end platform team to align strategies and enhance collaborative efforts across our product development.
Kempower's stack includes TypeScript, Angular, HTML, SCSS and RxJS.
ROLE SPECIFICS:

Taking ownership of the functional and technical performance of specific cloud software services, components, and product areas

Implementing modern UI/UX best practices and optimizing web applications for performance, accessibility, and scalability

Applying agile software development and DevOps practices to continuously deliver value to users and customers

Working closely with the design team to develop and maintain a coherent, user-friendly design system and related frontend components, while supporting evolving stakeholder and user needs

Collaborating with customers, stakeholders, product management, designers, and the development team to identify user needs, validate technical solutions, and plan new features aligned with business goals

Mentoring and supporting junior team members and contributing to the team's overall growth and knowledge sharing
At Kempower, we work in a hybrid model. The whole Cloud software & data team meets in Lahti approximately once a month but would encourage the selected candidate to visit the office and meet the team members more often. We also have offices in Tampere, Helsinki and Vaasa. Occasional travel may be required to support our global initiatives.

WHAT HELPS YOU SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE

5-10 years of experience in software development, particularly with frontend technologies such as Angular and TypeScript, as well as modern frontend architecture

Experience collaborating with UX/UI designers and translating designs into polished, high-quality user interfaces

Strong understanding of agile development practices and modern development tools, including Git, CI/CD, code reviews, test automation, DevOps, and security best practices

Experience with, or interest in, frontend test automation and improving overall system quality

A degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience

A curious and proactive mindset, with a genuine interest in continuous learning and professional development

Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and using them in daily work to improve productivity, code quality, debugging, testing, and development efficiency
As our official company language is English, proficiency in spoken and written English is required.
